Matthew David McConaughey (/məˈkɒnəheɪ/;[2] lahir November 4, 1969)[3] ialah seorang pelakon dan penerbit Amerika Syarikat. Kehidupan awal

Matthew McConaughey dilahirkan pada November 4, 1969 di Uvalde, Texas.[3] Ibunya, Mary Kathleen "Kay" atau "KMac" (née McCabe) ialah seorang bekas guru tadika dan pengarang berasal dari Trenton, New Jersey.[6][7][8] Bapanya, James Donald McConaughey menjalankan perniagaan bekalan paip minyak dan bermain untuk pasukan bola sepak Amerika, Kentucky Wildcats dan Houston Cougars.[6][9] Ibu McConaughey dan bapanya berkahwin tiga kali (selepas bercerai dua kali).[10][11] Beliau berketurunan Scotland, Inggeris, Ireland, Sweden dan Jerman.[12]
