Negara separa-pinggiran

Dalam teori sistem dunia, negara separa-pinggiran (kadangkala hanya disebut sebagai semi-pinggiran) ialah negara yang diindustrialisasikan dan kebanyakan bersistem kapitalis yang berada di kedudukan antara negara pinggiran dan negara teras. Negara separa-pinggiran memiliki ciri-ciri organisasi dari negara teras sekaligus negara pinggiran dan biasanya secara geografik berada di antara wilayah teras dan pinggiran serta antara dua wilayah teras yang bersaing atau lebih.[1] Wilayah separa-pinggiran memainkan peranan besar dalam memperantarai kegiatan ekonomi, politik dan sosial yang menghubungkan wilayah teras dan pinggiran.[1]
