Channa ialah sebuah genus ikan pemangsa dalam keluarga Channidae yang berasal dari habitat air tawar Asia. Genus ini terdiri daripada sekitar 50 spesies yang dikenal pasti secara ilmiah. Genus ini memiliki taburan alami besar yang terbentang dari Iraq di barat, Indonesia dan China di timur, dan sebahagian Siberia di Timur Jauh.[1] Ia biasa dikenali sebagai "haruan" dan turut merangkumi toman dan bujuk.
Spesies Channa bersaiz sederhana dan besar adalah antara ikan-ikan yang paling banyak dimakan di beberapa negara Asia, dan banyak diternak.[1] Selain menjadi makanan, ikan-ikan ini juga digunakan dalam perubatan tradisional seperti rawatan luka dan kesakitan pascapembedahan,[1] dan menjadi ikan peliharaan secara global.[2]
