Tetrachaete adalah genus tumbuhan dalam keluarga rumput.[1][2] Asal nama genus ini adalah dari bahasa Yunani, dari tetra yang bermaksud "empat" dan chaite, yang bermaksud "bulu keras".[3] Hanya terdapat satu spesies yang diketahui, iaitu Tetrachaete elionuroides, yang berasal dari Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Yaman, dan Oman.[4][5][6][7]
