Dekoelie, this is in reference to that article "Pangiran... etc" that you put a "padam" tag on. I have already deleted this article on grounds that it did not conform to our manual of writing style. But I must say, the content of the article is worrying and so have all the other previous contributions of this user whose name is mentioned above. He seems to be one who delights in practices of Black Metal cults. In fact, I did once ban him for them (as well as deleted the articles in question as well as the eerie pictures he uploads) but reversed my ban after consideration of WP:NPOV. Nevertheless, I can't help but feel uncomfortable with his contributions as an individual. Also being an inexperianced SysOp, I humbly approach you for your advice on the matter. Do you think that it would be better to uphold NPOV and allow such articles as long as they conform to writing standards or enact a new policy forbidding such contributions on grounds that they violate Malay customs or something of the like? (This policy could also be made to have a higher status then NPOV)

Also, I noticed that his contributions tend to be original "research" from hanging out with Black Metal friends of his. The English Wikipedia has a policy forbidding this in line with maintaining academic standards of course, and as far as I know our Wikipedia has not yet an equivelant in Malay. The problem in translating and enforcing this policy here though is that potential good articles done by other users who contribute in good faith but are not aware of standards may be affected as well. In lieu of our desperate, one may say, need to attract more active contributors and contributions, this may prove a put off.

(P/S: I am sorry to say that I have been less active as of late due to my ongoing studies. However I hope to establish our law portal soon. I am very pleased that the facelift of our Portal:Hal semasa went well (even though technically there is no portal function here yet - awaiting Yosri's initiative). Please feel free to contribute there as well. We still don't have an article on the Qana Massacre yet.)

Regarder your reply (hehe, actually its French for "look", not "regarding" but oh well) I would have proceeded to advise Kojek on to refrain from writing articles on such subjects, but being a lawyer in training, I realise the importance of acting within powers conferred on myself by the law, or in the Wikipedia sense, the policies and guidelines. There is currently no policy or guideline that prohibits such articles being written, provided they are done properly and in accordance with WP:MGP. In fact, the one on NPOV could even provide a justification for them. The thing that needs to be done now is to table a Bill before our Parliament, and have it approved and passed there (as well as subsequent amendments to NPOV). Discussions on just how far this new policy giving power to nullify articles on grounds of "going against customs" can go and even the definition of "customs" itself could be discussed there as well. Hi Dekoelie. Tanah Datar (Tanah Data, bahasa Minang) berada di Sumatera Barat bahagian tengah, semasa Adityawarman pun telah pula di bawah kerajaan Pagar Ruyung. Tanah Data, Agam dan Lima Puluh Koto, dianggap orang Minang sebagai asal-muasal bagi adat-istiadat Melayu Minangkabau, dahulu penduduk tempatan dikatakan Urang Darek (Orang Darat). Sedangkan lain-lain tempat di Sumatera Barat dianggap colony (Rantau), penduduk tempatan dikatakan Urang Pasisie (Orang Pesisir) atau Urang Rantau. Sekianlah semoga ada bermanfaat.
