AppleScript merupakan bahasa pengaturcaraan skrip yang dihasilkan oleh Apple Inc., dan dibina bagi Mac OS. Secara umumnya, AppleScript adalah perkataan yang digunakan bagi merujuk antaramuka skrip Mac OS, yang dimaksudkan bagi beroperasi selari dengan antaramuka pengguna grafik – (‘’graphical user interface’’).
Sejarah
[sunting | sunting sumber]Projek AppleScript merupakan sampingan kepada projek HyperCard. HyperCard mempunyai bahasa skrip berasaskan bahasa Inggeris yang dikenali sebagai HyperTalk, yang boleh digunakan bagi membenam logik dan kelakuan bagi timbunan HyperCard. Jurutera Apple menyedari bahawa bahasa skrip yang serupa boleh direka bagi digunakan dengan sebarang aturcara applikasi, dan projek AppleScript bermula.
